Take advantage of our relationship with ESPN to Make Money & Get New Prospects for your club with the ESPN National Golf Challenge.
As always, we're focusing on driving revenues and have a fun turn-key tournament promotion to share with you called the ESPN National Golf Challenge presented by Callaway Golf. It is an amateur two-person better ball tournament designed to find "America's Best 2 Some" in Gross, Net, and Senior Net (55 and over) divisions. Two-person teams from all over the U.S. can register to play in a local qualifier and attempt to play their way to ESPN's National Finals, to be held Oct. 21 - 23, 2010 at The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
What's in it for my club? Revenues and Prospects!
Your club makes money on entry fees, green fees, cart fees, food and beverages, and incremental spending on property and get new club prospects who might not have played at your course before by hosting this event. Participants will be able to play at their local qualifying Site course or club by paying an entry fee determined by the club. This fee should include reasonable greens and cart fees plus $49 per player which will be remitted to ESPN after the event. For this $49 fee paid to ESPN, each player will receive a dozen Callaway Golf Tour iz balls and an annual subscription to Golf Magazine.
What's in it for the Golf Professional at my club? Easy Money!
Golf Professionals can make additional money in a number of ways!
1. Golf Professionals receive $500 and 1 pro qualifies for the Pro Invitational (held in conjunction with the National Finals) if your cumulative total number of players from all of your Local Qualifying events is 60 or more players. 2. Receive $1000 and 2 pros qualify for the Pro Invitational for 100 or more cumulative players. 3. Receive $1500 and 2 pros qualify for the Pro Invitational for 160 or more cumulative players. (New this year!) 4. Any local qualifier club that hosts more than 100 players cumulatively is guaranteed one team spot in the National Finals. (New this year!) 5. Club pros also may follow their team to the National Finals to play in the Pro event as long as they had at least 24 cumulative players in their Local Qualifiers.
What's in it for the golfers at my club? Competition, Prizes, Fun, and Bragging Rights!
As mentioned above, each player who participates in your event will receive 1 dozen Callaway Golf Tour iz Balls ($54 value) at the local tournament site and an annual subscription to Golf Magazine ($48 value on the newsstand). Teams advancing to the regional qualifiers are determined by the number of teams competing at the local events. Winning teams that advance to the regional level will pay an additional entry fee of $179 per player ($358 per team), collected by the local qualifying site. The entry fee includes a tee gift with a value of at least $100, greens fee, cart fee, range balls and lunch at the regional site. No additional entry fee is required for those teams advancing to the National Finals.
